“Share Warmth” Coat and Sweater Drive October 11 through November 14 in Brookside
Benefit for the women and children in shelter at Rose Brooks Center
So what’s happening? Our 10th annual coat and sweater drive to share warmth with women and children at Rose Brooks Center
So what’s happening? Our 14th annual “Flipping Favorites” clothing benefit to combat domestic violence – a benefit for Rose Brooks Center
And what do we need? Donations of clean, gently used and new women’s clothing
When? Starts Friday, April 12 when we start accepting clothing donations at World’s Window.
Ends Thursday, May 9 with a grand finale “Fabulous Flipping Favorites” shopping party – and it’s a great party with $10 shopping bargains, drawings, 20% off savings, festive foods and drinks
Customers love our gift wrapping - boxes carefully packed and wrapped with colorful, crinkled paper band and then topped with a fluff of colors and natural raffia. It's a colorful "party" on the box. Some customers declare they would be disappointed if there wasn't one of our wrapped boxes under the tree each year.
Truth be told, we spend way too much time making the bows and preparing the paper bands. But that's how we do things at World's Window. We create a colorful celebration in our displays throughout our store, so, of course, our gifts must look the same!
Take A Stand against domestic violence by sharing warmth with women and children in shelter at Rose Brooks Center
As the weather gets cooler, perhaps with some frost on the ground, we start pulling out sweaters and jackets and coats to keep us warm throughout the winter. For many, home is a place of love, warmth and comfort. But for millions of women and children, home is any but that. Every 9 seconds, a woman in the U.S. is beaten or assaulted by a current or ex-significant other.
