With delight our staff presented a check for $1070.00 to Rose Brooks Center this week. The check represents all of the donations given for our holiday gift wrapping as well as the money raised through the sale of our eco-friendly, fair-trade shopping bags. The check was presented to Marie Dispenza on behalf of Rose Brooks who said they were delighted to receive a check of this size right at the beginning of the year. Our heartfelt thanks to all of you customers who dropped donations into our box. You made a difference!
This Saturday Yes, right in our store. Our own Arlene Williams, who is a licensed massage therapist will have her massage chair tucked into a corner of our back room to treat you to a mini-massage of 5 or 10 minutes. Maybe a hand massage. Perhaps a neck and back massage. This will no doubt be the BEST $5 or $10 you will spend on yourself all holiday season! This Saturday, Dec. 1, starting at 10 when we open. These little treat appointments will be first-come-first-served, so come early to get your name on her list.
Starting Saturday morning, November 3, over 150 nativities will fill one our front windows for our annual show of nativities from around the world. Nativities of cloth, ceramic, carved wood, hammered metal, stone and even bottlecaps have been gathered from countries such as Peru, Mexico, Haiti, the Philippines, China, Kenya, Indonesia, Rwanda, Tanzania, and El Salvador as well as from The Holy Land - Bethlehem.

Join us for a night of creativity & shopping for a cause. This year we're combining our annual coat drive for Rose Brooks with the benefit sale of our fair trade, block-printed bags from India and mixing in a hands-on block-printing project for you to create your own customer decorated gift box or greeting cards.
Thrifty shoppers who attended the 7th Annual World's Window clothing drive for Rose Brooks Center were invited to "walk" the red carpet, pose with Elvis, toast with champagne and groove to easy music. Shoppers found a wealth of $10-per-item bargains on the many, many racks of gently-used and new clothing bargains at $10 each and enjoyed the party of glitz and glamour.
