Acknowledging Domestic Violence Awareness Month
and Celebrating Fair Trade Month
Thursday, October 18th from 5-7 pm
Join us for a night of creativity & shopping for a cause. This year we're combining our annual coat drive for Rose Brooks with the benefit sale of our fair trade, block-printed bags from India and mixing in a hands-on block-printing project for you to create your own customer decorated gift box or greeting cards.
A fun little 4-day sale. Just short and sweet. Della and I have moved through the clothing racks tagging lots and lots of fashions with a special tag letting you know it's eligible for a 50% discount when matched with a full-priced item of equal or greater value. So, buy a top full-priced at $95, get a pair of "tagged" $80 pants at 50% off. Buy a wonderful necklace at $68, choose a "tagged" $55 top at 50% off. So easy (and we'll help you too!)
Thrifty shoppers who attended the 7th Annual World's Window clothing drive for Rose Brooks Center were invited to "walk" the red carpet, pose with Elvis, toast with champagne and groove to easy music. Shoppers found a wealth of $10-per-item bargains on the many, many racks of gently-used and new clothing bargains at $10 each and enjoyed the party of glitz and glamour.
Over 600 nearly-new and gently worn garments hang in size-runs, ready for this Thursday’s “Fabulous Flipping Favorites” clothing drive for Rose Brooks Center, Kansas City's largest domestic violence agency. Our 7th annual spring fund-raiser on Thursday, April 26 from 5 - 8 pm (hopefully in front of our store) will provide needed clothing and funds for the women at Rose Brooks.
Now is the time to clean your closets and donate for our 7th annual Flipping Favorites clothing drive for Rose Brooks Center, Kansas City's largest domestic violence agency. Many of you already know the routine:
Yes, it might be early to be advertising our After-Christmas Sale. But here's the catch. From Dec. 26 - 31 almost the entire store is 20% off. Yes, almost the entire store! However, if you have our wonderful green Holiday Bonus Check, your savings will be doubled to 40% off!
There are numerous holiday “warmth” drives, but the needs at domestic violence shelters are always great. New women and children arrive at Rose Brooks Center each day to escape domestic violence and start anew. Warm, winter coats for both women and children are needed and can be dropped off at World’s Window in Brookside during their Third Annual “Circle of Caring” coat donation drive November 1 - 20, 2011.
