OK, weather, we get it. It's Fall! Time to start pulling out sweaters and jackets and coats. Some will fit, some will not. Some are too long, too warm (ladies of a certain age!), too puffy, too lightweight. Some you are tired of and are ready for new ones. Those are the ones we want!
World's Window is delighted to partner again with Rose Brooks (www.rosebrooks.org ) as the recipient of the coat and sweater donations because of their mission to break the cycle of domestic violence so that individuals and families can live free of abuse. At Rose Brooks Center, the women and children that arrive for shelter from domestic violence often come without coats and many times without any additional clothing besides what they are wearing.
New and gently-worn (the emphasis on GENTLY!) warm, winter coats and sweaters for both women and children are needed and can be dropped off at World’s Window in Brookside during their eighth annual Coat and Sweater Drive, starting Thursday, October 12th during the Brookside Wine Walk from 5 – 8 p.m. and through November 9, 2017.

Customers are already asking about when we'll start taking donations. This project continues to be a perfect fit for our store and our customers.
At World’s Window our mission is to celebrate the creativity of the human mind, spirit and experience and our customers love the idea of helping others. It’s an added bonus that they get a discount towards something new and exciting for themselves or towards early holiday gifts.

In exchange for coat or sweater donations, you'll receive a 20% off coupon that can be used any day through November 9, 2017, especially during the Brookside Holiday Season Opener party on Thursday, November 9, from 5 - 8 p.m.
There's no limit to the number of coats and sweaters a customer can donate. However, please, please, please - every item donated needs to be new or in clean, excellent condition so that they can be used right away.

“So often, women come to Rose Brooks Center with only the clothes on their back. Having beautiful, clean coats provided by generous Kansas Citians through World's Window’s coat drive is like wrapping them in a great big hug. It really makes our residents feel cared for. On behalf of those who may never know you, thank you!” (Marla, RBC Chief Development Officer)
