It's that time of year again. As the weather gets cooler, perhaps with some frost on the ground, we start pulling out sweaters and jackets and coats to keep us warm throughout the winter. At Rose Brooks Center, the women and children that arrive for shelter from domestic violence often come without coats and many times without any additional clothing besides what they are wearing.
Party like it's 1984. Champagne, sangria and other munchies; fabulous jazz; wonderful Rose Brooks volunteers and 80's-decked-out World's Window staff party-ready for all our amazing shoppers. From armfuls of clothing to our mass dressing room where swapping fashions happened all evening, it was a rollicking good time for a great cause. And with enthusiastic participation from all who attended, we raised over $2700 for Rose Brooks!
On Thursday, May 8, World’s Window invites the community to attend its “Flipping Favorites” shopping event from 6 to 8 p.m. to support Rose Brooks Center. 100% of the proceeds generated from this event will benefit the women and children (and sometimes their pets) using Rose Brooks Center’s services.
Are you Spring cleaning your closets for Rose Brooks Center? Now’s the time! Our World's Window 9th annual "Flipping Favorites" clothing drive is now under way. As a part of our 30th anniversary celebrations, we are aiming for the most successful clothing gathering ever. The Rose Brooks benefit “Flipping Favorites” Grand Finale Party is Thursday, May 8, but first we need to collect hundreds of new and gently-used clothing from customers like yourself.
